Notice to all Persons with Felony Convictions

Chapter 5E-14.149(6)(c), Florida administrative Code, states the Department WILL DENY any, "person [who] has been convicted of any felony under state or federal law involving robbery, bribery, extortion, embezzlement, grand larceny, burglary, arson, murder, rape, assault with intent to kill, assault that inflicts grievous bodily injury, kidnapping, prostitution, child abuse, child pornography, sexual assault or indecent exposure."

For other felony convictions, or if a felon's civil rights have been restored, the Department will not automatically deny licensure based on conviction for these crimes, but will decide an appropriate action on a case by case basis.

DO NOT APPLY FOR ANY EXAMS, CERTIFICATES, OR CREDENTIALS UNLESS YOU HAVE PROOF THAT YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS HAVE BEEN RESTORED.
